1. How do I access my Titan Degree Audit?
Log onto "Titan Online" through your student portal at www.fullerton.edu with your student ID and PIN. Select Student Academics ? Titan Degree Audit ? Continue with Degree Audit (twice). Here, you can review and/or print your Titan Degree Audit.
Additional information on how to read the Titan Degree Audit, including a tutorial, can be found at http://www.fullerton.edu/aac/AAC_Resources/ titaninstruct.asp .
Note: the Titan Degree Audit system utilizes the same system that online registration (Titan Online) utilizes. During peak registration periods, the Titan Degree Audit may be disabled to accommodate the increased access to Titan Online. Students and advisors alike are encouraged to access the Titan Degree Audit system before the start of any registration period.
2. I have a minor. Why is it not included on my Titan Degree Audit?
The Titan Degree Audit currently does not include minor requirements.
Keep track of your minor requirements on paper.
Because of your minor,
it is possible that the "collateral requirement" section of your TDA may
state that it is incomplete. The grad unit will know that your minor
(if it includes at least 12 units of upper-division coursework) will
meet the collateral requirement.
3. What if there are "Unclassified Courses" on my Titan Degree Audit? What does that mean?
If you have any "Unclassified Courses" listed toward the end of your TDA,
it means that the TDA does not recognize where these units will be placed
in relation to your 1) communications, 2) liberal arts, 3) outside of
communications or 4) other additional units requirements. During the pilot
project graduation check, all unclassified courses will be classified as
part of the process.
If you have any unclassified courses anytime AFTER you receive email
notification that your TDA grad check is complete, contact
Advisement Center Coordinator
in the College of Communications Advisement Center to have these units classified.
4. What are the "liberal arts and sciences" and "80 units outside of communications" requirements?
Communications majors must complete a minimum of 80 units outside of communications. Of the 80, at least 65 units must be in the "traditional liberal arts and sciences." Students meet these units with 1) general education, 2) collateral or minor courses and 3) electives taken simply to meet these unit requirements. Review the text headings on your TDA (in the "courses in the traditional liberal arts and sciences" and "courses outside of mass communications") for additional information.
5. Current list of courses that meet the liberal arts and sciences requirement: Click here for liberal arts list
(Note: this requirement is specific to communications majors only, and is
NOT synonymous with general education, which is a university-wide requirement
for all majors.)
After reviewing this information, if you have questions about unit completion
for the 80 units outside of communications.65 units in the liberal arts,
the College of Communications
Advisement Center Coordinator
and the
Assistant Dean for Student Affairs
can assist you.
