Transfer Students

Transfer Student Orientation

All newly admitted transfer students MUST either attend a Transfer Student Orientation (TSO) session or complete an Online Transfer Overview before registering for their second semester courses. Click here for additional information.

General Education

All transfer students are required to complete a minimum of 9 units of General Education at CSUF. For transfer students from a community college who completed all of their lower division GE courses, the 9 required GE units at CSUF will be upper-division (300-400). Because the 9 units of required GE may need to be completed in specific categories, students should receive GE advisement at the Academic Advisement Center in UH 123 to determine their GE status.
