Advising Updates | Fall 2025

Advising services are facilitated virtually through virtual (Zoom or phone) or in-person advising appointments.

Campus Closure Notification:
The campus will be closed on Tues., Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Advising services will resume when the campus reopens on Wed., Nov. 12.

Advising for Spring 2026 newly admitted transfer students:

We are hosting small-group virtual advising sessions during the week of November 17 for newly admitted Spring 2026 transfer students to facilitate academic advising for spring class registration.

Please check your CSUF student email account for an email from our office with instructions on how to sign up for one of these sessions.

We look forward to supporting you and helping you prepare for your first semester at CSUF!

Spring 2026 Registration Advising Update
During the first two weeks of Spring 2026 registration (Mon., Nov. 3 – Thurs., Nov. 13, excluding the campus closure date of Tues., Nov. 11), we will not be holding 25-minute pre-scheduled appointments. (The only exception will be limited 25-minute advising appointments for COMD majors with Dr. Michelle Merchain.)
To better accommodate students during this time, we will offer 15-minute same-day virtual advising appointments and 15-minute in-person drop-in advising hours (CP-210) daily, Mon. - Thurs.

15-minute in-person drop-in advising hours for current CSUF students only (CP-210)

NOTE: Drop-in advising periods may fill before the end of the published advising hours; we recommend arriving at the start of the posted times.

  • Mon., Nov. 3: 9:30 am – 11:30 am and 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm (COMM, CTVA, HCOM, COMD)
  • Tues., Nov. 4: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm (COMM, CTVA, HCOM) and 9:00 am – 11:30 am (COMD)

Same-day (15-minute) Virtual Advising Appointments (current CSUF students)

Sign-ups for the same-day, 15-minute virtual advising appointments will open at 8:30 am each day (Mon. - Thurs.); click the button below. You will receive the Zoom meeting ID/link in the confirmation e-mail right after you schedule the appointment.

To make the most out of your advising session, be on time and prepare in advance by having your CWID available, your current TDA pulled up, and your questions ready.

Space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are no more appointments available on a given day, please check back the next day starting at 8:30 am.

Same-day, 15-minute virtual advising appointments (sign-ups begin at 8:30 am, Mon. - Thurs.)

Pre-scheduled (25-minute) Advising Appointments (current CSUF students)

Pre-scheduled 25-minute advising appointments will be scheduled through TitanNet starting with appointments for Fri., Sept. 26.

  • You cannot schedule a 25-minute pre-scheduled advising appointment more than one week in advance. If you do not see appointment availability, that means all available appointments are booked at that moment. Keep checking back the following morning and throughout the day; new openings may become available each business day.
  • Pre-scheduled appointment timeslots are shown in 30-minute increments; however, they are 25-minute appointments (for our advisors to have a few minutes in-between back-to-back appointments).
  • If you are unable to make your scheduled advising session, you must cancel your appointment through Titan Net (Portal > Student Homepage > TitanNet Student). If you cannot cancel your appointment online, please e-mail us at collcommadvising@fullerton.edu with your name, CWID, date and time of appointment.
