Dr. Anthony Fellow, former chair of the Department of Communications and the Department of Cinema and Television, is director of The Florence Programs, one of the most successful and largest CSUF study abroad programs, now entering its 15th year. He also has taught in CSUF’s Department of Politics, Administration and Justice and The Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California. He has presented research internationally on media and politics, Civil War journalism, and health communications.

He covered politics for the Thompson Newspapers for 10 years, covering the presidencies of Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter and was anchor of various cable television news shows in Southern California. He also is anchor and producer of CSUF’s World Press television show, which won a national Telly Award for Best University News Program. He was under contract with Universal Studios and played the role of a journalist in Raymond Burr’s Kingston Confidential series.

He is an elected director on the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District Board of Directors and Pasadena City College Board of Trustees and was vice mayor of the City of El Monte and vice chair of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California.
