Bill
Bowley is
the head of the Personal Appearance Department at Don Buchwald & Associates,
has been the General Manager of three Improv Comedy Clubs, and has been in the
comedy business for 10 years. In
1991, he began working as a waiter at the Irvine Improv with the intention of
moving up in the comedy business. In
1993, as a manager he introduced The Brea Improv’s first ever open-mic nights
and specialty one man shows. He
created the “Mo Better Mundays” urban night at the Hollywood Improv, and
during this time also managed the careers of a select group of comedians.
At Don Buchwald & Associates, he has created an entirely new
department handling the tour schedules, live television and hosting
opportunities for a select group of comedians, actors and athletes.
He has planned and developed a celebrity charity golf tournament, booked
his own comedy room at the Palace Station in Las Vegas, and is now booking a new
chain of comedy clubs-Gabe Kaplan’s Comedy Corner.
