See Public Relations students in action as a Comm 464 team hosts a fundraiser event 
for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  A former MAW recipient will share thoughts;
Hamburgers
will be available for $3.00 per person with all proceeds going to the MAWF.  
Fabulous prizes will be raffled off.

Alumni Mentor Luncheon
Alumni House, 12-3p.m.
RSVP (657-278-7083) is necessary for this event at the Alumni House.  
Invited are Dean's List, Student Leaders, and open to all Comm majors on first come 
basis. Enjoy lunch while conversing with professionals.  Alumni will be at each table to 
answer questions.  The keynote speaker will be NY Times Editor Walt Baranger.

Forensics Showcase

TSU Theatre, 4 -7p.m.
"The CSUF Speech and Debate team takes the most talented speakers on the campus 
and enters them in competitions throughout the nation.  The squad is nationally competitive, 
is currently ranked in the top 20 in the nation, and last year had a speaker finish in the 
top 5. The forensics showcase will have the students present their poetry, dramatic interpretations, impromptu speeches, arguments, and impromptu speeches in a very 
entertaining and informative manner.  Come prepared to see some of the best speakers 
in America show off their talents!"

Career Focus Event

Open to all students, with special invitation to PRSSA membership.  Sponsored by NAWBO, PRSSA, College of Communications, CPPA, and Communications Internship Office.  
Hosted by Laura Matz and Reena De Asis.

 

5:30-6:30p.m. -  Dress4Success Seminar 
This one-hour program will address professional preparation necessary for students’ 
transition from college to work.  Consultant will present tips and strategies for new professionals, such as business protocols, image management, and how to develop a plan 
to build a quality wardrobe for the business workplace.  Great raffle items.

 

6:30-7p.m. -  Reception - light refreshments and raffle

 

7-9p.m. -  PRSSA & Yo-Pro/PRSA Mixer Event:  
Thinking about going into PR? Find out the real scoop from the people out there doing it.  Attend PRSSA & Yo-Pro/PRSA mixer event!  Public Relations representatives from 
Agency, Corporate, Nonprofit, etc. will be on site. Meet a new mentor and learn how they 
excel in their field.  Gain insight to a smooth and successful transition from college grad 
to "Life in the fast lane."

This annual event gives alumni a great opportunity to interact with old friends and 
colleagues while enjoying
the baseball game between the CSUF Titans
and CSUN.  
Graduating seniors are encouraged to join in the festivities.  $5 adult, and $3 children tickets must

The 4th Annual eBusiness Conference at California State
University, Fullerton.  
Successful eBusiness leaders and educators share their knowledge, inspiration and 
insights with business owners, students and members of the community.  Session topics 
include a cutting-edge issues such as "Internet marketing and Branding," "Strategic Partnerships," "Effective Online Marketing," and "Customer Relation Management."

National Writer's Workshop

Dean Pullen, Professors Brody, Clanin and Fellow invite journalism professionals and Communications students to this event sponsored by Orange County Register and College of Communications.  The 9th annual celebration of good writing is sponsored by the OC Register, CSUF, Poynter Institute for Media Studies and the OC Press Club.  Come hear some of the best speakers in the nation on writing, reporting, journalism and interviewing.  Reduced fee is available for CSUF students.  $15 includes lunch.
