Linda Maria Viramontes Traveling Down the Gold State Born and bred in Northern California, this happy-go lucky girl lived a nice life in San Jose. Graduating from Yerba Buena High School in 2000, she continued with her educational career at Mission College, in the heart of the Silicon Valley. After 9/11, her father was laid off from work as a computer technician, and the family packed up and moved to Fresno, literally the middle of California. She attended West Hills Community College, in a farming community, about 50 miles south of Fresno. The calm surroundings allowed her to concentrate on school; eventually landing her a spot on the Dean's List two semesters in a row. Tired of the ho-hum lifestyle of Coalinga, she ventured to the exciting lifestyle of Fresno and transferred to Fresno City College, where they offered Mass Communications classes. With high hopes to one day returning to the Bay, Linda worked hard for the remainder of her Junior College Career. She later gave up on her venture back up North, for the chance to be educated at best school for her major, Communications. Residing in Fullerton, Linda enjoys all the perks of going to a university such as staying up late cramming, living off of Top Ramón, PBJ sandwiches, and coffee. But to her, the best part is knowing that she is receiving the best PR education the state can buy on the West coast! On her spare time she likes long walks on the beach, holding the hand of someone special and lounging around the dorms with great friends and a funny episode of Saturday Night Live. |
