Mission of Communications Week

The event is a school-wide event designed to heighten the awareness of the scope and breadth of the College of Communications programs.
It provides the opportunity to spotlight students, faculty, and our excellent educational endeavors while we promote the field of communications to the University and the surrounding communities of Los Angeles and Orange County.
The event seeks to provide a fun, interactive learning environment that exposes students to the professional world, internship opportunities and hands-on planning experience.

Goals

  • To expose the campus community to current communications issues;
  • To provide communications students with an opportunity to learn how to plan special events;
  • To provide campus students and faculty an opportunity to interact with communication professionals;
  • To give CSUF and CSUF students greater visibility to the professional community;
  • To provide a platform for professionals to discuss communications issues with a variety of classes for communications students and groups of CSUF students.

History

2008 marks the 30th consecutive year for Communications Week at California State University, Fullerton. Historically, the program has been composed of a four-day seminar of speakers, workshops and events. Events are created, organized, and implemented by a task-force of students representing the three College of Communications departments.
