Glenn Koenig has been a staff photographer for the Los Angeles Times since 1996.
He graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 1979 with a degree in communications and
an emphasis in photojournalism. While at CSUF, Glenn worked as photographer at the Daily Titan.
After graduation, Glenn’s first job was photographer at a group of community newspapers in the Cerritos/Artesia area. In 1981, he began freelancing for the O.C. Register, as well as doing a variety of other commercial freelance jobs. In 1984, he was offered the opportunity to freelance 3 to 4 days weekly at the L.A. Times, working almost exclusively out of the Orange County office. In 1996, Glenn became a full time staff photographer.
Glenn’s duties at the Times include shooting for all sections of the newspaper including news stories, sporting events, entertainment, and studio food shoots. He also works as a photo editor filling in on the night photo desk.
