As a Hospitality committee member, Derek’s goal is to provide quality parking arrangements and quick transportation routes to and from Comm. Week.

Native of Fontana, CA, he completed two associate degrees from Riverside Community College before transferring to California State University, Fullerton in the fall semester of 2006. He is in his senior year and is expected to be graduated by August 2008 with a B.A. in communication with emphasis in public relations.

After graduation he plans to network his way into the corporate sector of these PR industries: sports, automotive, music, and entertainment. He is also active and involved around campus.

He is an active member of Delta Chi Fraternity as Director of Public Relations, PRSSA as Membership Director, PRSSA’s national Bateman competition team, and LBSA member.

Outside of college, Derek enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending rock concerts, and reading columns about sports, fashion and music.
