Cassie MacDuff

Cassie MacDuff is a columnist for The Press-Enterprise, a daily, 172,000 circulation newspaper, that covers San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. She writes about issues in the news, focusing on San Bernardino County.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University in 1983, with a double-major in journalism and political science, and began her journalism career at The Davis Enterprise.

In 1986, she came to the Inland Empire to work for The San Bernardino County Sun, leaving it in 1999 to work for The Press-Enterprise.

Her writing has garnered awards from journalism organizations, including the 2008 First Place and Second Place for local news columns from the Society of Professional Journalists, Inland chapter.

Her weekly news segment is heard on local public radio station KVCR-FM.

A native Californian, she was born and raised in Los Angeles.
