Professor Evanow has been teaching at the university level for 14 years. He currently serves as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Communications, teaching advertising, copywriting and public relations, and has considerable experience in the advertising and marketing industries in addition to holding numerous roles in motorsports marketing and publishing for over 25 years.
At Cal State Fullerton, Mr. Evanow will begin his fifth year as a member of the university’s Academic Senate and is co-advisor to the College of Communications’ student-run advertising and PR agency, PRactical ADvantage Communications (www.practicaladvantagecomm.org).
Evanow also has served as a contributor to automotive publications and websites as a freelance writer, and is the author of Z: 35 Years of Nissan’s Sports Car, published by Motorbooks International.
Originally from Washington, D.C., Evanow earned a BBA in Business Management from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Upon graduation, he went on to receive an M.S. in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Evanow is married with three daughters, one grandson, three dogs and currently, seven collectible cars. But that could change at any moment. The cars, that is.
