KASA refers to Knowledge and Skills Acquisition, a complex set of assessment procedures designed to ensure that students achieve a comprehensive set of critical knowledge-based and skill-based competencies that are needed in order to earn the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). KASA is integrated into the graduate program in communicative disorders at CSUF.
