Andersen Research Center Policies
1) Books and journals may not be checked out by students. Faculty members may check materials out. A check-out book will be maintained at the front desk to identify which materials have been checked out by which faculty members.
2) A copier should be maintained in the ARC, and copies run at 5 cents per copy.
3) When the ARC is not staffed, faculty members may admit students to the ARC provided that they supervise the students. Faculty members need not be in the room to be supervising the students.
4) The ARC may be staffed by either paid office staff or volunteers, especially graduate student volunteers. Volunteers should supplement and not supplant paid staffing.
5) The ARC may be used as a meeting room of last resort; if all other meeting space is unavailable, the ARC may be used for theses defenses, committee meetings, etc. Meetings should NOT be held in the ARC during scheduled hours of operation.
6) The ARC should be keyed so that faculty keys, and only faculty keys, can open the door. A copy of the master key should be kept in the main office. Graduate student keys should NOT be capable of opening the ARC.
7) Whoever staffs the ARC should log their hours and keep a change box for the copier.
