Communications, Radio-TV-Film & Human Communications Students
A wide variety of student internships are available throughout Southern California. In the Departmentof Communications and Radio/TV/Film students are required to complete an internship course as the culminating undergraduate experience. The Department of Human Communication students has the option to complete an internship some time in the senior year.
The departments recognize the beneficial attributes of an internship. Students intern at sites in Orange and Los Angeles Counties, as well as at national and international sites. Examples of internship sites include newspapers, magazines, television and radio stations, public relations and advertising agencies, health-related institutions, nonprofit organizations, film production companies, publishers, education offices, high-tech industries, and businesses with communications needs.
Internships give students valuable chances to explore work in the field of their choice. By engaging in actual career work, they learn about professional options available to them, develop a resume, and acquire contacts that may pave the way for a position in the field of their dreams. You will get on-the-job application of communication knowledge and skills and build experience in the field to add to your resume.
