Barbara Chen, ABC News Network Producer

Barbara Chen is an ABC News network producer and a CSUF graduate (Comm/’99). She works for the ABC digital channel, ABC News Now, and recently was a broadcast producer for World News Now and World News This Morning, the network’s early morning newscasts.

Chen also has served as an assignment editor and production secretary for World News Tonight with Peter Jennings. Chen will speak at 9 and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 25, in the Titan Student Union. The event is sponsored by Communications Week.

Before Chen moved to New York, the Southern California native worked in corporate and agency-side public relations and wrote for magazines. Chen is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association, of which she is New York chapter Vice President for Broadcast.
