Photography Conference on the Horizon

Photo Contest

This fall the College of Communications hosts the 49th Annual Flying Short Course at Cal State Fullerton. This educational photojournalism event is sponsored by the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and spearheaded by Professor Davis Barber.

NPPA's goal is to continue to inspire photojournalists around the United States. Slated for October 21-22, 2006, this ambitious program will benefit students and provide an additional professional development opportunity for professionals in the field.

Photo Contest
Students are invited to submit photos to the Fullerton Short Course College Photographer of the Year contest. Here is more information.
There is also an opportunity for a two-week internship at the Orange County Register for a talented student who has an outstanding portfolio.

For more information, contact NPPA student leaders Christina House or Songha Lee, who are serving as contest coordinators.

Schmooze with the Pros
The Short Course provides hands-on workshops taught by local experts, educational presentations, portfolio reviews, and interactive discussions. This is a perfect opportunity for students to network with professionals.
