Email collcommadvising@fullerton.edu with your CWID (campus-wide ID number), first and last name, and major. E-mailing from your CSUF student e-mail account is strongly preferred. Please be as detailed as possible with your questions; an advisor will respond to you within 1-3 business days (3-4 days during peak times).

Advising Updates | Spring 2026

Advising services are facilitated virtually through virtual (Zoom or phone) or in-person advising appointments.


Spring 2026 Advising Update
During the first two weeks of the Spring 2026 semester (Tues., Jan. 20 -- Tues., Feb. 3) we will not be holding 25-minute pre-scheduled appointments. (The only exception will be 25-minute advising appointments for COMD majors with Dr. Michelle Merchain.)
To better accommodate students during this time, we will offer additional 15-minute same-day virtual advising appointments (Mon. - Thurs.) and 15-minute in-person drop-in advising hours (CP-210).


In-person (15-minute) drop-in advising hours (CP-210)

These drop-in advising hours are for quick (15-minute)/urgent scheduling questions for current undergraduate College of Communications students. For non-urgent questions pertaining to major change exploration or future academic planning, please schedule an appointment after the add/drop period.

NOTE: Drop-in advising periods may fill before the end of the published advising hours; we recommend arriving at the start of the posted times.

**Week two in-person drop-in advising hours:**

  • Mon., Jan. 26: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
  • Tues., Jan. 27: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Wed., Jan. 28: 9:00 am – 11:00 am
  • Thurs., Jan. 29: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Same-day (15-minute) virtual advising appointments

Click the "same-day" appointment link below at 8:30 am to schedule a 15-minute Zoom appointment for that day. Same-day appointments can quickly fill during peak times; we strongly suggest clicking the schedule link promptly at 8:30 am.

Same-day (15-minute) Virtual Advising Appointments (current CSUF students)

Sign-ups for the same-day, 15-minute virtual advising appointments will open at 8:30 am each day (Mon. - Thurs.); click the button below. You will receive the Zoom meeting ID/link in the confirmation e-mail right after you schedule the appointment.

To make the most out of your advising session, be on time and prepare in advance by having your CWID available, your current TDA pulled up, and your questions ready.

Space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. If there are no more appointments available on a given day, please check back the next day starting at 8:30 am.

***Pre-scheduled 25-minute advising appointments will NOT be availble Tues., Jan. 20 -- Tues., Feb. 3 (except for COMD majors); for quicker assistance, refer to the above same-day virtual and in-person drop-in advising options.***


  • You cannot schedule a 25-minute pre-scheduled advising appointment more than one week in advance. If you do not see appointment availability, that means all available appointments are booked at that moment. Keep checking back the following morning and throughout the day; new openings may become available each business day.
  • Pre-scheduled appointment timeslots are shown in 30-minute increments; however, they are 25-minute appointments (for our advisors to have a few minutes in-between back-to-back appointments).
  • If you are unable to make your scheduled advising session, you must cancel your appointment through Titan Net (Portal > Student Homepage > TitanNet Student). If you cannot cancel your appointment online, please e-mail us at collcommadvising@fullerton.edu with your name, CWID, date and time of appointment.
