Quick Questions?

To help us assist you most efficiently, please do not send duplicate e-mails to multiple advisors.

E-mail [email protected] with your CWID (campus-wide ID number), first and last name, and major. E-mailing us using your CSUF student e-mail account is strongly preferred. Please be as detailed as possible with your questions; an advisor will respond to you within 1-3 business days (3-4 days during peak times).

Advising Updates | Fall 2026

Undergraduate advising services are facilitated virtually through virtual or in-person advising appointments, drop-in advising hours, and by e-mail.

Starting Monday, October 26, we are transitioning to a same-day 15-minute appointment and drop-in advising schedule for spring registration for continuing CSUF students. In-Person (15-Minute) Drop-in Advising Hours (CP-210)

  • Mondays: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Drop-in advising periods may fill before the end of the published advising hours; we recommend arriving at the start of the posted times.

Virtual (15-Minute) Drop-In Advising Hours (Zoom)

  • Tuesdays: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • Fridays: 9:00 am - 11:00 am

You must be logged into your CSUF Zoom account/portal to access the meeting.

How it works:

  • You will enter the waiting room before you join the meeting (via a virtual "front desk") for check-in.
  • A staff member will greet you and ask for your name, CWID, and major to check you in.
  • You will be placed in a breakout room; an advisor will join the room to assist you as soon as possible.

Pre-scheduled (25-Minute) Advising Appointments (Zoom and In-Person)

  • You can schedule a 25-minute pre-scheduled advising appointment up to two weeks in advance. If you do not see appointment availability, that means all available appointments are booked at that moment. Keep checking back the following morning and throughout the day; new openings may become available each business day.
  • Pre-scheduled appointment timeslots are shown in 30-minute increments; however, they are 25-minute appointments (for our advisors to have a few minutes in-between back-to-back appointments). (Note: Academic notice advising appointments are 45 minutes.)
  • If you are unable to make your scheduled advising session, please cancel your appointment through TitanNet (Portal > Student Homepage > TitanNet Student). If you cannot cancel your appointment online, please e-mail us at [email protected] with your name, CWID, date and time of appointment.

🗓️ Preview: Upcoming Registration Advising Schedule

The daily "quick questions" appointments and drop-in virtual & in-person advising schedules will go into effect starting Monday, October 26.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ADVISING UPDATE: MON., OCT. 26 – FRI., NOV. 20

To ensure timely availability for advising and class registration questions, regular 25-minute pre-scheduled advising appointments will not be available from Monday, October 26 through Friday, November 20.

  • Review Daily Advising Options: Refer to your major below to view your specific same-day appointment options and live drop-in advising hours.
  • COMD Major Exception: Limited pre-scheduled advising appointments may be available only for COMD majors with Dr. Michelle Merchain via TitanNet.
