Stephen Chavez brings incredible energy, vision, and leadership to his clients. A highly skilled strategist, writer, engaging presenter and team leader with expertise in social media, media relations, and Hispanic community outreach. 

Stephen, whose marketing and communications career spans nearly 25 years, has worked for boutique, mid-sized and global PR agencies, including the MSLGroup, VPE Public Relations, and Ketchum. Before his PR life, Stephen was a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and The Morning Call daily newspapers.

Over the course of his tenure, he has led communications programs for numerous clients, including Nestlé, Del Real Foods, National Institutes of Health, Verizon, McDonald’s, Kikkoman, California Strawberry Commission, and Cazadores Tequila. 

He is proud to have spearheaded several high-profile award-winning campaigns that have made a positive difference in the lives of consumers and in driving business results for his clients. Highlights include California Museum’s “Latinas: The Spirit of California Exhibit,” Del Real Food’s “Fight for Flavor” campaign, and Cazadores Tequila “Las Chicas Cazadores National Tour.”

Stephen is the past National President of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) and current board member of the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter Independent Practitioners Alliance. He also speaks at several Marketing and PR industry conferences on the topics of engaging Latino influencers and food and culture. 

Stephen earned his bachelor degree in journalism at the University of La Verne, where he teaches public relations and writing courses as an Adjunct Professor. 

For pleasure, Stephen is co-editor of an award-winning food blog called LatinoFoodie.com, sharing personal stories of family treasured recipes and food travel adventures.
