Vanessa Franko

 Vanessa Franko is the Digital Director of Entertainment and Features for the Southern California News Group, which includes the Orange County Register, The Press-Enterprise, Los Angeles Daily News and eight other markets within Southern California. Vanessa has worked as a features and entertainment editor, sports editor, pop culture reporter, local  music  columnist, digital producer and a general assignment news reporter.  

She has directed award-winning coverage of the Coachella Valley  Music  and Arts Festival, created and hosted the PE Live video series and was named a fellow of the Knight Digital Media Center multimedia storytelling program.  Her work has also appeared in Australian Rolling Stone, the Boston Phoenix and The Capital newspaper in Annapolis, Maryland.  She is on Twitter at @vanessafranko.
