Beth Bingham Georges spent 23 years in television news before returning to CSUF to teach full-time in the Department of Communications. Beth worked as an anchor and reporter for stations such as Fox11, KDOC, and the Orange County Newschannel. She also worked for two stations in Georgia as an evening anchor, morning anchor and reporter. Beth has covered several big stories including the 1993 Laguna Beach Firestorm and the San Quentin execution of William Bonin, known as the freeway killer. The last 5 years in television Beth worked as a reporter/producer for E! Entertainment. She covered film festivals in Venice, Italy and Deauville, France. She has also covered just about every major awards event including Oscars, Emmys and Grammys. Beth also produced more than three dozen documentaries at E! including True Hollywood Story, E! News Specials and a mini-series on the royal family of England.
Beth joined the full-time faculty at CSUF in 2003 and specializes in broadcast journalism. Prof. Georges is the faculty advisor for several television news programs produced entirely by students including OC News, Al Dia and Titan Sports Recap.
