Jenkins, Shelley

Shelley Jenkins is a lecturer and founding full-time faculty member of the Department of Radio-TV-Film. As such, she was the co-proposer of "American Television" and the proposer of "TV Writing: Sitcom," among other courses. Her primary areas of interest include multi-camera production, television history, and diversity issues within the industry. Prof. Jenkins is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and an occasional interviewer for its Foundation's "Archive of American Television." Professionally, Prof. Jenkins began her career in southern California as an editor with local Orange County post houses, where her clients included MTV, Major League Baseball and Holiday Inns of America. Her documentary, "The Mystics: A 50 Year Legacy," had its U.S. premiere at The Magic Castle in 2008, where it received rave reviews in both Genii and Magic magazines. It has since been sold to magic enthusiasts in over 85 countries.
