Jonathan Volzke

Jonathan Volzke got his start as a reporter covering hard news, stories about a professor killing his lover’s husband and a professor killed by a student. And that was just as a Daily Titan staffer. By the time he left Cal State Fullerton after a stint as Editor of the Daily Titan, Volzke was well on his way for a career in journalism. He worked his way to the Orange County Register, where he covered murder, mayhem and local government (not always separate) for 13 years before launching his own newspaper, which is still be published today. When it came time to change professions, Volzke discovered the lessons he learned at CSUF and through his journalism career prepared him well for Public Relations. He is now the Senior Communications and Marketing Analyst for the City of Lake Forest.
