John Manzi is currently President/General Manager of KDOC-TV Los Angeles/Orange County. As GM, Manzi is responsible for all aspects of the TV station’s operations including; advertising sales, programming, news, engineering, creative services, promotion, production, finance, and technology.
KDOC-TV is a full power commercial television station serving 5.5+ million homes in the Los Angeles DMA. It is an independent TV station that is the broadcast home for popular programs such as; KABC Eyewitness News, Seinfeld, Family Guy, American Dad, Law and Order, Last Man Standing, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire (to name a few). The station also broadcasts NCAA Basketball and Football in season.
Prior to joining KDOC-TV, Manzi worked with Tribune Broadcasting Company. He was VP/General Manager of KRCW-TV in Portland, OR from 2005-2009. He joined KRCW in 2003 as the General Sales Manager. Manzi started with Tribune at KWGN-TV in Denver, CO in 1999 where he held sales management positions before moving to Portland. He began his media career in NY, working for TeleRep as a Sales Account Executive, representing more than 100 TV stations nationwide.
Manzi is a graduate of the United State Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY where he received a BS in Marine Engineering in 1984 and a graduate of the College of William and Mary where he received a MBA in 1992. He held management positions in engineering and finance before transitioning into media in the mid-nineties.
Manzi is married and has two children. A sports enthusiast, he actively plays soccer and practices Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he is a World Champion, 2x Pan American champion, and 2x American National Champion.
