Anita Snow

Anita Snow (1980, Communications/Journalism) Anita Snow graduated from CSUF in 1980 after studying under the late Gary Granville, who was later her editor during her first reporting job at The Orange County Register. Anita felt the pull of foreign reporting early and left the paper in 1987 to take a fellowship with the Inter-American Press Association in Mexico. She later became an Associated Press correspondent, based in Mexico and Havana and at United Nations headquarters. She currently is assigned to The AP's regional editing desk in Mexico City, but in July will be moving to Phoenix for a senior AP reporting job covering immigration. She holds a master's degree from New York University in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and an MFA from Goucher College in Creative Nonfiction. Anita was the recipient of a Nieman Fellowship for journalism at Harvard University for the 2009-2010 academic year. She is working on her first book, a memoir.
