Where do you currently work, and what is your job title? / Tell us a little bit about what you’re doing now, and how you landed this position/ What are some of your daily duties?
I currently work as an associat at Hill + Knowlton Strategies, a global public relations firm. I literally just heard the news this week that they are hiring me full-time! So stoked!
I work with various different clients ranging from consumer, sports, stocks, automotive, gaming, and music companies. I have various duties which involve media monitoring, doing media relations outreach and writing up reports to name a few.

How did LCI prepare you for what you are doing today, or how did it help shape your career?
LCI helped me so much that it's hard to explain in an email. Without LCI, I wouldn't have been able to push myself out of my comfort zone and constantly work to grow my confidence. None of this was even possible if it wasn't for Inez, the alumni, and of course my peers. Everyone at LCI has taught me so much about myself, but also how hard one has to work for what they want. There are so many go-getters in LCI, that has truly inspired me to be a go-getter myself.

What advice would you give to current LCI members?

My biggest advice is to never stop yourself from going after opportunities that come your way. If someone sends you an opportunity you feel you would be great for or you see it on the Facebook page, don't be afraid to apply, especially when it's offered by the school. It can be scary to apply to things you haven't tried before. I know I have felt like I wasn't good enough to get a position because I didn't have experience in that field, but life can surprise you. Of course networking is a huge part of it as well, but what people don’t usually say is what to do after you network, which is being the one to make the first move in following-up. No one can magically make things happen for you if you are not the first person to put in your work.
