Mission of Communications Week
Communications Week is a university-wide event that explores the impact communications plays in our daily lives. It provides a spotlight to shine on students, faculty and professionals in the field of communications. The event is a fun, interactive learning experience for all who attend.
Goals
- To discuss current communications issues;
- To stage an enjoyable educational event; and
- To bridge the gap between the academic and professional communities.
History
Communications Week began in 1978. Through the years, this innovative educational experience has showcased more than a thousand speakers from the various disciplines of communications. All events are created, organized, and implemented by a student task force from the College of Communications. The Associated Students, Inc. (ASI) provides funding for this Instructional Related Activity (IRA).
