On Wednesday,   Sept. 9, 5-8 p.m. PT , the Latino Communications Institute (LCI) will host its second annual alumni awards night. The keynote speaker at this free, virtual event will be   Jean Guerrero , an award-winning investigative journalist and author of   Hatemonger: Stephen Miller, Donald Trump and the White Nationalist AgendaOpens in new window   Opens in new window . Her first book,   Crux: A Cross-Border MemoirOpens in new window   Opens in new window , won a PEN Literary Award. Ms. Guerrero is an Emmy-winning border reporter, contributing to NPR, the PBS NewsHour and more. The event will be emceed by ABC7/LA community journalist and COMM alumnus   Eric Resendiz .
