A native of Italy, Dr. Gloria Monti first came to the United States as a student at the age of 17.  She earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in American Studies/Film Studies at Yale University and a graduate degree in Communication Studies/Film Studies at the University of Iowa.  She is Associate Professor in the Department of Cinema and Television Arts, where she teaches Film Studies.
