Undergraduate admissions
See the CSUF admissions website for admissions information.
Students admitted to CSUF are able to choose to major in Communication Sciences and Disorders. There is no further requirement. For transfer students, some courses they can consider taking at their community college before they transfer include an introductory level biology course, a physics or chemistry course, an introduction to statistics course, and/or a developmental psychology or child development course; these courses are not required for BA degree but are required for ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certificate and CA public school credentials if they plan to go to a graduate school. They can also take these courses once they are admitted to CSUF.
Undeclared students or students wishing to change majors, fill out the change of major form and submit it to admissions and records office after receiving signature from the COMD department chair.
