Derrick Coleman visits CSUF
NFL offensive football player Derrick Coleman, who played at UCLA, with the Seattle Seahawks, and currently with Atlanta Falcons, stopped at CSUF on his way to meet deaf/hard of hearing students and their parents at Katella High School on April 16, 2018. An adjunct faculty member in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nancy Adzovich, Au.D., has known Derrick since he was a 3rd grader in the Fullerton School District. Dr. Adzovich, an audiologist, and his mother, Mrs. May Hamlin, have been instrumental in Derrick overcoming his hearing challenge and being the inspirational model for many students with hearing impairment. Dr. Adzovich describes Derrick as a humble, genuine, authentic, resilient, caring, thoughtful, and fun-loving person.
