CSUF Faculty Recognition: Scholarly & Creative Activity

CSUF Faculty Recognition: Scholarly & Creative Activity

Dr. Weir-Mayta was one of 84 faculty members at the 2018 CSUF Faculty Recognition: Scholarly & Creative Activity event on November 5, 2018 at TSU. He is an assistant professor who joined CSUF in Spring 2015. He published one paper in 2017, titled Internal versus externally cued speech in Parkinson’s disease and cerebellar disease. This paper was published in one of premier clinically focused journals, American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology.  He has one paper under review that examined the feedback schedule effects on speech motor learning. Dr. Weir-Mayta had five presentations at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CSHA) annual conventions including the two that will be presented at the ASHA convention in Boston in November 2018. A total of eight graduate students have worked with him. Typically, our graduate students do not have room to add research into their tight academic and clinical training. It is commendable to have our graduate students be involved in research projects with him.
