Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Panel

 

 

Three student clubs [Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association Fullerton Chapter (NSSHLA), and Student Speech Therapists and Audiologists Nurturing Cultural Enrichment (STANCE)]co-hosted a virtual autism spectrum disorder panel on Thursday, September 27, 2023 at 7:00-9:00pm. The panelists responded to posed questions by students. Panelists were:

•Dr. Heini Natri is a geneticist and ASD advocate

•endever corbin is an autistic ASD advocate. endever is a temporary AAC user and multimodality communicator using   PLQ4Text for spelling and speech output, plus mouth speech, gestures, and sign.

•Dr. Aja McKee is an Associate professor in Early Childhood Special Education, College of Education at CSU Fullerton.

•Dr. Lisa Erwin-Davidson is an Assistant professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders     specializing in AAC research & instruction, College of Communications at CSU Fullerton.

•Dr. HyeKyeung Seung is a full Professor and Chair in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders specializing in autism research, College of Communications at CSU Fullerton.
