Professor Jesus Ayala participated in the Dow Jones Multimedia Training Academy at the University of Texas El Paso in June.
The academy provides 12 faculty members with hands on training the latest multimedia skills into his courses.
Ayala joins the Department as a full-time lecturer in Fall 2018. He will teach several courses, including TV News Production and Reporting on Minorities, and advise Al Dia, the Department's Spanish-language broadcast program.
