COMM Students sweep top honors at 72 & Sunny bootcamp

Cal State Fullerton advertising students took home first, second and third place for their creative brief presentations on the Truth campaign (formerly anti-smoking campaign turned anti-JUULing/vaping campaign). First place went to Mike Hernandez, Tabitha Butler and Dalia Quiroz. Second place went to Stephanie Ayala and team followed by Sivan Palmon and team finishing at third.

The One Club held a Creative Boot Camp and was hosted by 72andSunny. Students from around the Los Angeles area participated in a 4-day intensive workshop that introduced them to the process of creating an advertising campaign for real clients from top agencies. Fifteen teams worked non-stop during the four full days and came up with different campaign strategies, ideas and plans of execution. The presentation/competition took place on the final day.

Professor Assaf Avni joined the bootcamp as a mentor and worked with about 50 different CSUF students. For most students, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience what it was like to work for one of the best ad agencies in the world and be mentored by some of the most creative minds in the greater Los Angeles area.
