Dr. Jasmine Meertins, Dr. Miya Williams Fayne, and Professor Amber Chitty Wilson won the Scott-Jewett Grant. They are using the funds to launch a new student community called Black CommUnity. This community works towards student success and innovation through the lens of social justice. The Program includes community building, faculty mentorship, job and internship prep, internship stipends, and conference travel. Monthly events include free dinner outings, coffee hours, movie screenings, workshops, and panels.
