Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Radio collaborated with the LGBT Queer Resource Center on campus on October 12th to celebrate National Coming Out Week. National Coming Out Week is dedicated to those who have not yet come out about their sexuality in any capacity and to help them feel seen and heard.
The LGBT Queer Resource Center put on a fair, and Titan Radio provided music to attract students. This was done to bring awareness to the resources provided on CSUF campus for LGBTQIA students and people in the county.
On October 13th, Titan Radio provided music and live audio mixing for the LGBT Queer Resource Center’s Drag Show. The event honored National Coming Out Week and supported local drag queens.
Hot chocolate and whoopie pies were provided for attendees while they watched the queens take the stage. Five local drag queens performed: Alessandra Divine, Vanity Mirrors-Divine, Natasha Hundreds, Cassie Love and Katalina De Isla. They lip-synced and danced to multiple numbers. Two student drag queens also performed their own numbers: Hungover Hannah and Shozy.
The show was filled with life, and Titan Radio reported over 100 people in the audience. The audience cheered, shouted, and even tipped the queens as they performed. Titan Radio hopes to participate in more events like this in the future.
