The AdClub event on Feb. 21 was a thrilling experience that gave students a fascinating insight into the dynamic world of advertising. The event featured two captivating speakers: producer Julius Buslon and gaming marketing expert Adam Nelson.
The event commenced with students fostering a strong sense of camaraderie together while enjoying pizza. As they settled into their seats, an icebreaker activity was introduced, encouraging students to forge new connections and friendships.
“I love coming to the AdClub because I'm able to hang out with a diverse group of people and learn at the same time. I look forward to seeing my AdClub friends every other Wednesday,” said Devyne Prior, AdClub’s communication executive.
After rekindling with friends, all eyes turned to the podium, and the students were eager to soak in the wisdom of the guest speakers.
Bulson, an alum of California State University, Fullerton, shared his wealth of experience as a producer. He started by showing students a day in his life, which consisted of meetings with the creative and editorial teams to ensure the project was on schedule. He shared with the students that there are a lot of deadlines in this field, but when you see the outcome, it is all worth it.
In the end, students left feeling full of knowledge about the advertising industry. As the curtains closed for yet another AdClub event, one thing became abundantly clear: The future of advertising is bright for the next generation of graduating students from Cal State Fullerton.
