Behind the Scenes (BTS) recently hosted an inspiring Alumni Panel at the Titan Student Union (TSU) Titan Theater, featuring five accomplished panelists from various corners of the entertainment industry. The panelists, including film, TV, music, and live events production professionals, shared their career journeys post-graduation and offered valuable advice to soon-to-be graduates.

Organized every spring by BTS, the Alumni Panel aims to maintain connections with alums while providing valuable insights to current members. This year's panel, held on Apr. 9 at 7 p.m., featured panelists from Marvel Studios Animation, Live Nation, the Food Network, Prime Video and Amazon Studios.

Throughout the evening, panelists emphasized the industry's importance of passion and authenticity. They encouraged students to pursue internships, build networks, and embrace rejection as a part of the journey toward success.

Club members, like Christina Tran, a sophomore business major focusing on marketing, found the event eye-opening. "I realized the importance of networking and making sure you stand out to others positively," Tran shared.

The panel concluded with one-on-one networking opportunities, fostering connections between students and industry professionals. Despite the challenges of the entertainment industry, the panelists' enthusiasm and willingness to share their experiences left a lasting impression on attendees.

The event provided a platform for meaningful conversations and connections.

“As BTS President, I've been involved in the club since my freshman year, and I'm proud to see how events like these continue to benefit our members. We look forward to hosting more Alumni Panels in the future, providing students with even more opportunities to learn and connect with industry insiders,” said Erine Duclan.
