Dr. Ying-Chiao Tsao is a speech scientist and ASHA Board Recognized Fluency Specialist who has published numerous journal articles in JSLHR and JASA on rate of speech. Much of her work examines links between speech rate and stuttering.
For the past decade, she also took interest in educating future clinicians with a focus on cultivating cultural humility and competence through community-based research, high-impact practices (e.g., service-learning, co-curriculum, study abroad, study abroad simulation), and interprofessional education and collaborative practices.
