Dr. Zac D. Johnson (Ph.D., West Virginia University, 2013) is an associate professor in the department of human communication studies at California State University, Fullerton. At CSUF Dr. Johnson also serves as the basic course coordinator. He teaches a variety of courses across the curriculum including sport communication (HCOM 370), Communication Theory (HCOM 304, HCOM 420), and Research Methods (HCOM 308, HCOM 500).
As a researcher Dr. Johnson explores the ways that students communicate with one another inside and outside of the classroom. He has also explored how messages regarding sports related concussions are perceived by various stakeholders. His work has been featured in Communication Education, Communication Quarterly, Communication Research Reports, and other outlets.
